Valley Center is in San Diego County, in the San Diego-Carlsbad
metro area. The community is in the Pacific Standard time zone.

The population, at the time of the 2000 census, was 7,323. Valley
Center attractions: Bell Gardens. Valley Center is located in
northern San Diego County near Escondido. The community has a
population of about 8,000 and has two lakes (Lake Wohlford and
Lake Dixon) that are great for fishing and picnicking. The area
is also full of avocado and citrus trees. Valley Center has rural
roots and residents want to keep it that way; every plot of land
is at least 2 acres, insuring that every home has plenty of space.
Glen Bell (of Taco Bell fame) created Bell Gardens, a fun spot
for families with a fully functioning farm and train. The Bates
