About Brea
Brea is one of Orange County's oldest cities.
Translating to "tar" in Spanish, Brea was the site of oil fields
and wells a century ago. This black gold rush lured hundreds of
residents to the town then called Rudolph. Today, the name has
changed, but the town's rich history remains. Brea's 40,000 residents
currently enjoy the Curtis Theatre for entertainment and the Brea
Mall for shopping.

The La Habra City School District believes in a child-centered
program that recognizes the individual abilities, needs and interests
of each student. Teaching methods emphasize the mastering of basic
skills including reading, language and mathematics. The district
is located in the Northwestern part of Orange County and covers
a five (5) mile area that includes the city of La Habra and parts
of Brea and Fullerton. The 9 schools in LHCSD serve approximately
6400 students. During the summer, the district offers a comprehensive
summer school program.
Placentia-Yorba Linda School District
The Placentia-Yorba Linda School District is home to 27,000 students
from Kindergarten through High School. The district serves the
communities of Placenita and Yorba Linda, as well as parts of
Anaheim, Brea, and Fullerton. There are about 2,500 employees
and a great diversity in student heritage. In addition, several
schools are pursuing honors in school excellence. The California
Distinguished School and National Blue Ribbon School honors are
perhaps the most coveted titles that schools can receive. In this
district, 19 schools have already received such honors.
Brea-Olinda Unified School District
Brea Olinda Unified School District operates six elementary schools,

is to educate all students, to instill them with a love of learning,
to develop them to their fullest potential, and to prepare them
as responsible, contributing citizens. This mission is achieved
in a challenging, supportive learning environment where all members
of the educational community are respected, differences valued,
and excellence is expected.
