About Anaheim Hills
East of Anaheim is a suburban haven called Anaheim
Hills. The locality has about 30,000 households with one third
being planned communities. Anaheim Hills includes the towns of
Peralta Hills and East Hills. These areas are known for their
lush plant life, tennis clubs, swimming pools, shopping centers,
and restaurants. Anaheim Hills also has its own golf course, public
library, numerous parks, a reservoir and the Oak Canyon Nature
Center.
Area Schools
Orange Unified School District
The Orange Unified School District is at the center of a growing
community 37 miles southeast of Los Angeles and 68 miles north
of San Diego. Orange Unified serves over 31,300 students with
3,200 employees. The district contains 29 elementary schools,
five middle schools, two of which are charter, four 9-12 high
schools, a continuation high school, a K-8 math and science magnet
school and two special schools. Projected housing developments
within the District community (including projects in Mountain
Park (Anaheim Hills) and East Orange) will reverse the current
trend of declining enrollment, beginning 2008. Four elementary
schools have been built or reopened since 1997 and the District
is actively pursuing new school sites at the K-8 level.
