About Indian Wells
Indian Wells is a city in Riverside County, in the Riverside-San
Bernardino metro area. The community is in the Pacific Standard
time zone.The latitude of Indian Wells is 33.718N. The longitude
is -116.307W. The estimated population, in 2003, was 4,481. The
community was named for its origin as an Indian village located
near one of three hand-built wells in the Coachella Valley The
area remained primarily agricultural until the early 1950s when
the first golf course was built in Palm Springs. Desi Arnaz was
a developer of the Indian Wells Country Club and Golf Course.

Riverside County – the Riverside County Office
of Education. The 2,000 teachers, counselors, administrators,
and employees of RCOE work hard to provide critical services needed
by Riverside County’s 23 school districts, special education,
and vocational education students.
We help districts meet tough state academic goals, train educators
on best practices, provide special programs for students who need
them, and on the business side, process millions of dollars in
payroll and approve local budgets worth billions of dollars. We
